On this past weekend, Lady Mary Memorial Tourney was truly blessed.  Aside from the glorious weather, in the Prestige Tourney we saw the valiant and often heroic feats of ten fighters, experienced and new.  Six rapier swordsmen/women competed in a bear pit challenge.  Archers and thrown weapons combatants alike enjoyed the beautiful weather most of all, at the range site, Finally Oaks, hosted by Lady Morna the Saint and Lord John the Rude.

The winners of our tourneys were:
The Prestige Tourney winner was Sir Evander MacLachlan for the honour of Baroness Marioun Golightly.
The winner of the Rapier tourney was THL Gareth for Lady Rusalka Galbraith.
The Archery winner was lady Katerin Starck who shot straight and true.
The Throwing Weapons winner was Honourable Lady Caitriona inghean Ragnaill who competed for the honour of Honourable Lord Daniel of Whitby.

Special thank you to our marshals in charge of the day:
Prestige Tourney: Count Trumbrand of Ben Dunfirth
Rapier Tourney: Lord Tadc of the White Rose
     Archery: Baron Caleb Reynolds
Thrown Weapons: THL Augusto Guiseppe de San Donato, who designed this year's Archery Competition using the history of the Lady Mary event
Mistress of the List: Lady Selwyn of the Wood

There was also an A&S Show, which Baroness Hawise ferch Meredith won with her impressive showing of tablero de Jesus and Hnefatafl boards in counted cross stitch, embroidered Assissi Table Cloth, Heraldric Tabard, and heraldry teaching scroll in counted cross stitch and embroidery.

The Bardic Challenge had two winners.  Baron Caleb Reynolds gave us all good cheer with his Medieval `Beat' poetry recitation, and received the Golden Beet.  Lady AElfgyva became the new Baronial Bard of Rising Waters, with her golden voice and rousing presence.

The Scholars Challenge had three final winners.  Baroness Annabelle Makmyllane won the Novice Challenge with a perfect score.  Mistress Tangwhistle (and team) won the intermediate scholars challenge with another perfect score.  Lord Tristan of Ravenglass won the Expert Scholars Challenge.  All winning scholars won additions to their libraries – noble gifts for the learned.
